Meet Dr. K
As the Medical Director of SMC Dr. Kamyar Cohanshohet “Dr. K” (as his patients affectionatly call him) completed his residency at UCLA is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. He specializes in Addiction Medicine and Pain Management and is affiliated with several prestigious Residential Treatment Centers and Inpatient Rehabilitations Centers in Malibu and the Greater LA Area. As an addiction specialist who is, himself in recovery, Dr. K is able to successfully create for each of his patients a detox protocol that is both comfortable and expeditious. He also understands that medical detoxification is only the first step in the process of recovery from drugs and alcohol. His unique integrative approach blends cutting edge pharmacologic treatmens with a more traditional holistic approach.
